7-21: Repaving Serrano Pkwy - OK now

Do you know of a road closure, debris/glass on the river trail, a new road? Please, share the knowledge!

Section from EDH Blvd to Silva Valley - lots of loose gravel and marbles

8/6 update - road is not complete yet (final sealer not on it) but is in much better shape than before. Dunno why they repaved THIS road vs. all the other beat-up roads in EL Dorado County.

Serrano Parkway Cleaned Up

Postby steve on Thu Jul 26, 2007 12:17 pm

I rode the Alexandra Hill Climb loop on Tuesday evening. The loose gravel and asphalt marbles have been cleaned up by the street sweeper. They put down chip-seal type pavement so the road surface is not as smooth as it once was, and it's a dark black color so you feel the heat radiating more than you used to...perfect! All the better for training.
