Completed a Century!

Postby jnshapiro on Mon Oct 27, 2008 11:41 am

I rode an unsupported century! The route started at my house and went up to El Dorado Hills, wandered down to Latrobe, Folsom, and Loomis. Over 5000 feet of climbing on mostly rollers. But dang it, I did a century! Actually, it was 108 miles.

I have also lost 46 pounds now and am down to 159. Shooting for 150.

Congratulations! You've successfully removed 3 full bicycles off your bike by my calculations (my bike x 3 = 45.12 pounds). I'll bet its a whole lot easier to ride up hills now. That's an outstanding achievement and even more so because you planned and executed your own ride plan - an unsupported century - and didn't choose to finish with 96 (instead, you manned-up and finished with 108!). It sounds like a great route too. If you have it on a Google Map or something I'd love to have a look at it. Send it to Steve Ward: steve@cyclefolsom.com if you have it.

Nice job!!
