Hit my weight loss goal

Postby jnshapiro on Wed Feb 04, 2009 7:39 pm

I've dropped 61 pounds. From 205 late last April to 144 this morning. I've been riding a lot and watching what and how much I eat. It's paid off!

You lost 61 pounds - OMG! Congratulations, that's incredible!

Congrats! That's huge! I'm working on my weight too. Trying to stay away from "diets' per se, and focusing on learning more about nutrition, cooking healthy meals, and challenging myself to ride more miles than in the past.

The weight's coming off slowly but surely, but what i find more fulfilling is how much better I feel mentally, physically and emotionally. I suspect you can relate to that.

Congrats again.

Thanks Steve. I've always enjoyed climbing, and the suffering that goes with it. Odd, huh?

Schultzee, to be honest, I don't really feel any better. Just lighter. I'm still having trouble getting used to the idea of being skinny.

Do I detect "dieters" remorse?

Congrats!! I am just starting on that journey, maxed out between 220 & 225 a few weeks ago, shooting to get back down somewhere around 175 or so. Weighed 165-170 when I was racing 20 years ago! LOL Currently 214 +/-, my weight fluctuates a big amount depending on my hydration. Lowest the scale has showed this week was 211, but mostly 214 or so.

Congrats again!!
Why do we do this? Because it feels so good when we stop!!
