I am trying to stick with liquids for all fuel.
For simplicity and to see if it works.
I load up on the batter(perpetum) 5 to 6 scoops with a shot of 20mg whey protein, scoop of electrolite drink for flavor and added sodium all with a little bit of water. This totals about 900 calories (8oz). This is more for a 3 hour plus ride.
Take a pasty swigg then some water or sport drink. I also put electolite drinks in both of my bottles. This adds calories and needed minerals. On cooler days I put water in one of my bottles as not to overload the minerals.
On the side I have hammer gel shots, with caffine.
I do bring a solid food such as cliff bar, just in case.
I will bring extra drink powder for the turnaround in one bottle then water for the way home.
