Major construction on Mother-Lode Immediately east of Ponderosa/South Shingle has turned this stretch of road in to a precarious place for a bike. Seems like they are making pretty good progress and the road will be wider when they are done so for the next few weeks, just be aware.

Construction Completed - there is about 1/4 mile of very nice bike lane on the shoulders of Mother Lode now, but as you know, it goes away fast.
