Excellent Article

Mark,

That's an excellent article in that it not only provides a detailed discussion of the components of a sports drink, but indicates what to look for on the label when choosing a sports drink.

Water

Postby hairycurt on Wed Nov 28, 2007 5:06 pm

Water.

I choose to regulate my electrolyte (Endurolytes) and fuel (Perpetuem and HammerGel) separetly from my liquid consumption. Plus it's a whole lot nicer to dump water on your head in the heat than to forget and dump sports drink.

I'm beginning to like Chocolate Milk at pit stops.

I'm a water fan as well. I use food and sometimes pills for the other stuff. Of course, I don't do the miles you do. Cliff Blocks are my favorite now.

When I was running marathons it seemed like I read many times about the recovery attributes of chocolate milk. I think I'll get a glass now :-)
